25th Anniversary of the 1982 World's Fair, Part 2

Traveling to Knoxville last month for the Fair Day festivities on the
Fourth of July, I took a ton of photos of the event, exhibits, and
from the observation deck of the Sunsphere:

The 1982 World's Fair was my first world's fair. I was 15 years old and when we went, we didn't have time to go up in the Sunsphere itself. 25 years later, I finally got to go up!

Glad to hear of your interest in the Sunsphere. I am a world fair historian in Montreal, city of Expo 67. I created the Montreal Cartoon Club in 1982, the year Man and his World the successor to Expo 67 closed.
I am impressed by so many knoxville citizens interest in the Expo. In 2009, the year that the Hugo awards will be given out in Montreal for the first time I will propose the creation of a fiction and science fiction studios on the way to Smokey Mountain national park.
I know there will be several events in 2020. Probably an independent New York World fair. I also am proposing 'Twenty Twenty Tennessee'.
I live in the City of the moon - Montreal founded in the time of the Sun King Louis XIV.
Did you know that the Century of Progress exhibition was begun from the light of Arcturus which had travelled fourty light years from the time of the openimg of the first Chicago Columbia Exposition in 1893.
It is the 40th anniversary of
Expo 67. In 1964 I visited the New York Worlds Fair. I became a futurist, comic and science fiction book writer and artist and computer graphist. I have an architecture degree and am a locally noted geometer.
